CITY'S ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OFFICES TO GIVE
BUSINESS SUPPORT AT FEBRUARY 6 MEETING

ALEXANDRIA, VA (January 26, 2009) - The Alexandria Convention and Visitors Association (ACVA) is providing an overview of the Alexandria organizations that offer business support and guidance, including the economic-development offices and the business associations. This "alphabet soup" of organizations will explain their unique missions and how they benefit the business community as part of ACVA's Tourism Marketing Forum to be held on Friday, February 6, 2009.

Bill Reagan, Executive Director of Alexandria's Small Business Development Center, will be the keynote speaker, addressing doing business in an economic downturn. Other organizations represented will include the Alexandria Economic Development Partnership (AEDP), the Chamber of Commerce and neighborhood groups.

The Tourism Marketing Forum will be held on Friday, February 6, from 8 to 9:15 a.m. at the newly renovated Sheraton Suites Old Town Alexandria. The meeting with a continental breakfast is free and open to anyone interested in tourism in Alexandria. RSVP requested at 703.746.3298.
