The Lee-Fendall House Museum and Garden will host a special exhibition “A Thomas Nast Christmas: the Civil War in Political Cartoons” from November 30, 2012-January 15, 2013. This exhibition, featuring some of Nast’s most beloved holiday images, will explore the themes of family and celebration in times of national strife. The images will be on loan from the Macculloch Hall Historical Museum in Morristown, NJ, which holds the largest collection of Thomas Nast’s works in the United States. A Thomas Nast Christmas will be included in the price of admission, and seen as a part of the Lee-Fendall House tour.
