Following nearly a year of festivities, the Office of Historic Alexandria commemorates the bicentennial of Alexandria's involvement in the War of 1812 with a grand event along the Potomac River featuring exhibits, food vendors and waterfront activities plus a rematch between Alexandria residents and the British Embassy.

Waterfront Park will be transformed into a festival to commemorate the events that transpired on our shores 200 years ago. Meet the townspeople of 1814, enjoy boat tours of the river, listen to the USN Sea Chanters, Old Guard Fife and Drum Corps, and learn more about the War of 1812 through a variety of hands-on activities and information booths.
