Trading handicrafts and rugs has been in owner Rais Mughloo’s family for generations, and he spent over a decade creating a destination showroom in the historic city of Madurai, India before emigrating to the States. Rais spends time discussing the meaning of a rug design, the process of embroidering a fine pashmina shawl, or the story behind the deities depicted in a hand-painted work of art. We personally search the markets of India for the most authentic handicrafts and textiles and bring them to you in beautiful Old Town Alexandria.
