Begin with a walking tour that highlights key moments in Alexandria's history and honors the historic leaders of the city's black community. The tour culminates at the Alexandria Black History Museum, the perfect venue for a catered reception. Originally the segregated library for Alexandria's African American residents, the museum documents the local and national history, culture and contributions of Black America. The Watson Reading Room accommodates up to 40 guests, while the first floor accommodates up to 120. Both are handicap accessible.
