This beautiful English country-style church was built between 1767-1773 and was attended by George Washington & Robert E. Lee. Tours available Mon.-Sat. 9 a.m.-4 p.m.; Sun. 2-4 p.m., with Sun. morning and evening worship services.

Hymn Festival with Bruce Neswick

The choirs of Christ Church, St. Mary's Arlington, Grace Church Alexandria, St. George's Arlington, St. Luke's Alexandria, St. Paul's Alexandria, and Church of the Redeemer Bethesda, will combine for a memorable hymn festival at Christ Church Sunday, June 2, at 5p.m. The service will feature a variety of hymns sung by both the congregation and the combined choirs. The organist and conductor for the service will be Bruce Neswick, the Associate Professor of Organ and Sacred Music at the University of Indiana. A festive reception will follow in the churchyard. Rain or shine, join us for a Memorial Day Service of Morning Prayer in the Wilkes St. Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 27. From Duke St., take S. Henry St. to the next light, turn right on Wilkes St., and go to the end. There is street parking before the cemetery and parking along Wilkes St. and S. Payne St. before the cemeteries.
