Kick Off the Holiday Shopping Season in Alexandria!

Alexandria is rolling out the red carpet for shoppers on Black Friday with free parking in City-owned parking lots, garages and meters, early and extended hours, and deep discounts at dozens of your favorite locally-owned stores. Shop as early as 6 a.m. and warm up with a hot beverage and breakfast from some of Old Town's charming cafés. Make your shopping day complete with a lunch or dinner reservation. 

NEW! The Free King Street Trolley will be operating at 6 a.m. on Black Friday so you can get more bargains all over Old Town!

At 7 p.m., enjoy the glow of holiday lights at the City of Alexandria's Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony at Market Square. This FREE event will delight the entire family with musical entertainment and greetings from Mayor Euille and Santa Claus!

In addition to free street parking at all parking meters, the City of Alexandria is offering free parking in all City-owned parking lots and garages:

Courthouse Square Garage | 111 South Pitt Street | 6 a.m. - 3 a.m.
Thompson's Alley Garage | 10 Thompson's Alley | 6 a.m. - 11 p.m.
N Union Street Garage | 220 North Union Street | 6 a.m. - 2:30 a.m.
South Henry Street Lot | 112 South Henry Street | 6 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Cameron / St. Asaph Street Lot | 210 North St. Asaph Street | 6 a.m. - 9:30 p.m.
