Alexandria Spotlight

Farmers Markets

Alexandria offers a variety of Farmers' Markets several days of the week - some even year-round! Old Town's Market Square is full of life early each Saturday morning as is Del Ray's market. The West End showcases their fresh goodies on Sundays and Upper King Street offers visitors and locals a chance to buy fresh produce and baked goods mid-week. Stop by one (or all!) of these local treasures and pick up fresh flowers for your hotel room or a jar of jam to take home as that perfect souvenir of your visit to Alexandria!

People who come to Alexandria on Saturday mornings find themselves in a busy plaza where local farmers and artists have been selling their products since 1753.
