Accessing fresh food from your favorite Alexandria Farmers' Market vendors just got easier. Through the Farmers' Market To-Go program you can pre-order items from dozens of local vendors and pick your order up at Alexandria’s regular farmers' market locations during their regular times. See below for a list of participating vendors you can order ahead from. While Alexandria's Farmers' Markets have resumed on-site transactions, the to-go program is still a safe and easy way to shop. Customers are asked to wear face coverings and maintain six feet of physical distancing when picking up orders. Please follow safe food handling practices, including washing all fruits and vegetables in accordance with FDA guidance for cleaning produce.

Bigg Riggs is a veteran-owned, fifth generation farm in Hampshire Co., West Virginia, offering vegetables, fruit and value-added products from farm produce. Blue Ridge Botanicals is a woman-owned greenhouse business in Rappahannock County, Virginia, growing and selling hard-to-find and traditional culinary herb plants and fruiting shrubs. Blue Ridge Botanicals has been a vendor at the Old Town Farmers' Market for 34 years. Offerings include culinary herb plants ranging from the traditional to the unusual, including 10 varieties of basil and Jamaican Broadleaf Thyme. Bread & Water offers local, handmade artisan breads and pastries and soups from scratch. Items include baguettes, M bread, sourdough/multigrain, croissants, scones, muffins, brownies and more. To pick up your bread or pastries to go, please visit their Belle View brick and mortar store and find more info on their Facebook page.

Catoctin Creamery is a small family farm with dairy goats in Leesburg, Virginia. All of the products are made on the farm using milk from their goat herd. The creamery offers a variety of goat cheeses and goat milk caramel. To place a pick-up order, please visit their website. On the pre-order site, you will see a list of items that can be ordered in advance. Pre-orders must be placed by Thursday at midnight. Cold Country Salmon is a small-scale fishing operation working the crystal clear blue waters of Southeast Alaska. While fishing, the vendors  select the very best of their catch to bring home to sell to their customers throughout Virginia and D.C. Coulter Farms is a family farm is Juniata County, Pennsylvania. They offer Certified Organic, 100% grass-fed beef, lamb and dairy (including bottled milk, cheese, yogurt and kefir); raw wildflower honey; pastured free-range eggs; and whey-fed pork. To place a pick-up order, go to to www.CoulterFarms.net and click on the Online Store tab. Diaz Berries & Veggies is a small family farm in the Northern Neck, Virginia, offering fresh produce. Available items include asparagus, strawberries, kale, collard greens, spring onions, spinach, plants like green and red loose leaf lettuce, thyme, sage, oregano, rosemary, mint, basil, cilantro, a few varieties of micro greens such as sunflower, speckle peas, red radish (purple) and broccoli. Dunham's Farms is family owned and operated from Hedgesville, West Virginia, serving the Old Town Farmers' Market for more than 20 years. Each week​, Dunham's Farms offers a variety of produce including tomatoes, pickling cucumbers, onions, cantaloupe, watermelon, Brussels sprouts, strawberries, zucchini, squash, honey crisp apples, etc. Check out this week's available products and place a pickup order on Dunham's Farms' Facebook Page.

Hog Haven Farm LLC is a family-run, pasture-raised heritage hog farm offering a range of USDA cuts of pork and hot breakfast sandwiches. Offerings currently include a range of packaged pork, as well as freshly made and warm breakfast sandwiches (“original” style only at this time). To place a pick-up order, visit their online order page and plan to pick up your order between 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Saturday. King Mushrooms, based on Maryland’s Eastern Shore, cultivates a variety of exotic mushrooms as well as Hungarian mushroom soup and marinated mushrooms. Maribeth’s Bakery is a family-owned, certified woman-owned business operating totally within the City of Alexandria. They have been a vendor at the Old Town Alexandria Farmers' Market for 34 years. Offerings include fresh bread; breakfast pastries such as danishes, muffins and croissants; pies; tea loaves; "toaster pastries;" cookies; and decorated iced cookie shapes. Emma & Company has been a vendor at the Old Town Farmers' Market since 1997. All proceeds are donated to charities, a list of which is available upon request. Paella to Go is a catering/prepared and frozen food company specializing in traditional food from the Basque Country of Spain, Portugal and Latin America. Shlagel Farms is a family farm in Southern Maryland that has been growing fruits and vegetables for 109 years. Smith Meadows is a family-based farm where cattle, sheep, pigs and laying hens are raised on chemical-free pasture. Offerings include cuts of beef, pork and lamb, fresh eggs and home cooked food (fresh pasta, ravioli, sauces, soups, empanadas and pot pies) made from their meats, eggs and locally raised produce and herbs. To place a pick-up order, see the list of products for sale here, and please note the $25 order minimum and a limit of two dozen eggs per order. Threeway Farms is a century farm that has been in operation as a raiser of livestock, grain crops and vegetables since its beginnings. The farm is located in Westmoreland County in the Northern Neck of Virginia. Threeway Farm takes pride in presenting their costumers with good, fresh produce according to seasonal growing conditions. Farming practices include IPM (Integrated Pest Management) with as little pesticide and fungicide use as possible. Crop rotations, irrigation and the use of pollinators such as honey bees are practiced as well. Offerings include farm-fresh produce boxes, asparagus, strawberries, leafy greens, fresh herbs, melons and hanging flowering baskets.
