More Than 60 Restaurants Participate in Alexandria

Summer Restaurant Week August 18-27, 2017

Alexandria, VA – For 10 days and two weekends, more than 60 Alexandria restaurants will offer a $35 three-course dinner for one OR a $35 dinner for two during Alexandria Summer Restaurant Week, August 18-27, 2017. More than two dozen restaurants will also offer lunch deals at $10, $15 or $20 per person in addition to the dinner specials.

New to Alexandria Summer Restaurant Week are new restaurants Hummingbird, Meggrolls, Myron Mixon’s Pitmaster Barbeque and Junction Bakery & Bistro, as well as Captain Gregory’s, a recent addition to Alexandria’s cocktail scene that now has an enhanced dinner menu. Returning participants include Bastille, Sonoma Cellar, Virtue Feed & Grain, Cheesetique, BRABO, Restaurant Eve, Vermilion and Magnolia's on King.

Alexandria Summer Restaurant Week showcases the inventiveness of local chefs in neighborhoods throughout the city, including Old Town, Del Ray and the West End. At a range of locales, from fine dining establishments to casual neighborhood favorites, guests will savor the flavors of Alexandria's distinctive collection of eateries.

Summer Restaurant Week Menu Highlights:

  • New restaurant Hummingbird’s $35 three-course dinner for one featuring options such as New York Strip, Beastly Burger, and Black Lentil Cakes
  • Captain Gregory’s $35 three-course dinner for one featuring options such as Pickled Shrimp with frisee, avocado, radish, crema, pearl onions, blueberries, mustard seeds and chilies, and Root Beer with cream, smoke, peanut butter, milk, feuilletine, nitrogen and CO2
  • Bastille’s $35 three-course dinner for one featuring dishes like Magret de canard à l’hibiscus and Maine Mussels au saffron
  • Sonoma Cellar’s $15 brunch option that includes a Mimosa or Bellini and dishes such as Belgian Waffle Sammie and Huevos Rancheros
  • BRABO, which has new executive chef Sebastien Rondier at the helm, offers a $35 three-course dinner for one featuring dishes such as Chunky Watermelon & Tomato Gazpacho, Slow-Braised Beef and North Carolina Trout
