Portside in Old Town Events Cancelled on Saturday, October 27

Plus Additional Changes Made to Portside History Schedule in November

Alexandria, VA—Due to anticipated heavy weekend rains, the following Portside in Old Town events are CANCELLED for Saturday, October 27, 2018:

  • Waterfront Beer Garden by Port City Brewing Company
  • Pop-up Mia’s Italian Kitchen
  • Portside History: The Fashionable 18th-Century Alexandrian
  • Walking with Washington Tour – RESCHEDULED FOR NOVEMBER 17, 2018
  • Portside Kids: School of Rock Musical Petting Zoo

The following will STILL TAKE PLACE on Saturday, October 27, 2018:

Portside History: Archaeology Waterfront Walking Tours
October 27, 2018 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 to 2 p.m.
Admission: $20; pre-registration required
Old Town Alexandria waterfront, 1 King Street, Alexandria, VA 22314

Celebrate Archaeology Month with Alexandria Archaeology! As part of the Portside History series of activities at the Old Town waterfront, join an expert-led tour of the waterfront to learn more about the hidden history that has been revealed through excavation. The tour will start at the foot of King Street and end at Hotel Indigo with a nautically inspired drink crafted by Hummingbird Bar & Kitchen. Tickets are $20 per person with proceeds from the tour going to the Save our Ship conservation fund. Ticket price includes one drink. Pre-registration is required through Alexandriava.gov/Shop.
