At this 37th annual show and sale produced by the Art Deco Society of Washington, dozens of exhibitors will present furniture, barware, jewelry and more from major design movements of the 20th century including Art Deco, Art Nouveau, Arts & Crafts, Art Moderne, Mid-Century Modern, Scandinavian Modern and Atomic. The Art Deco Society is pleased to present the show at the George Washington Masonic National Memorial, a national historic landmark that includes some Art Deco touches in its interior design. Attendees are invited to make the 2020 show part of a car-free weekend in Old Town Alexandria. Two other mid-century modern attractions just outside Old Town – the Hollin Hills House + Garden tour (held 12 to 6 p.m., May 2nd) and Frank Lloyd Wright’s Pope-Leighey house at Woodlawn—can easily be reached by taxi, Uber, or Lyft. The Art Deco Society will offer special discounts to those who also tour Hollin Hills or the Pope-Leighey House. Attendees can also purchase discounted tours of the George Washington Masonic National Memorial, including the 9th floor observation deck offering panoramic views of Alexandria, Washington, and National Harbor.
General admission (Saturday 11 - 6 and Sunday 11- 5) is $15 at the door ($10 for ADSW members with advance purchase; $12.50 for others with advance purchase). Children 12 and under are admitted free when accompanied by an adult. Admission is good for both days. The Saturday morning early buyers preview (9AM - 11 AM) is $35 at the door ($25 for ADSW members with advance purchase; $30 for others with advance purchase).
