Take advantage of our new Spring Break Camp and send your kids to the workshop and the climbing wall this Spring Break (FCPS)!
The Garden by Building Momentum is partnering with Sportrock Alexandria to provide a unique experience for 4th through 8th graders. Half the day will be spent practicing climbing techniques while the other half of the day will be in a workshop learning new technology such as welding, laser cutting, electronics, soldering, and 3D printing! In the morning, 4th and 5th graders learn a new skill in the workshop while 6th through 8th graders learn to rock climb. After lunch, the groups switch!
At The Garden, 4th and 5th graders will learn welding, electricity, soldering, and 3D printing techniques to work in teams to create their model dragster car for a race and 6th through 8th graders will learn welding, electricity, soldering, and laser cutting to work in teams to create their model dragster car for a race.
At Sportrock Alexandria, all students will be introduced to rock climbing at their indoor facilities. This is a great place to start for brand new climbers, and young climbers looking to up their technical climbing skills!
Available for grades 4-8, April 4-8th from 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.
