Our independent restaurants and boutiques, historic sites and attractions and hotels are taking the necessary precautions to create a safe and welcoming environment for visitors. Here you’ll find what’s open now and when our top sites will be ready for you to visit.

Plan Ahead, Be Prepared

We look forward to seeing you stroll down our cobblestone streets and relax at our waterfront, but ask that you plan ahead and do your part to slow the spread of COVID-19. While here, remember to practice physical distancing and to wear a mask, as face coverings are required in Virginia at all indoor public places, except when eating, drinking or exercising. Additionally, a mask should be worn when 6 feet of physical distance cannot be maintained, even outdoors. It is important to always have a mask with you as sometimes walkways, sidewalks and trails can become crowded unexpectedly. To learn more and for answers to other commonly asked questions, read our FAQs.
