From presidents to patriots, Alexandria's Footsteps to the Past offers a fascinating, educational and entertaining walking tour to many of Old Town Alexandria’s significant landmarks and little-known sites.
Historically accurate accounts of our city’s founders and former residents -- the famous as well as the unsung heroes and heroines -- are revealed by experienced guides as we lead you on an extraordinary journey into the 18th and 19th centuries.
Footsteps to the Past Tours are available March through November (December through February by appointment).
Tour times: Monday through Saturday at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
Footsteps to the Past also offers private tours for groups of four or more and student tours for groups up to 30.
Tours begin at the Alexandria Visitor Center, 221 King Street.
