The Parkway Classic is a point-to-point race taking runners on one of the nation’s most scenic courses from the picturesque George Washington’s Mount Vernon down the National Park Service tree-lined George Washington Memorial Parkway and into historic Old Town Alexandria.

The race includes 10 mile, 5K and kids dash options. Come early and stay for the weekend, enjoying Alexandria’s nationally designated historic district that hums with more than 200 independent restaurants and boutiques alongside intimate historic museums and new happenings at the waterfront. At the heart of it all is the bustling King Street, a walkable mile recognized as one of the “Great Streets” of America.
