Historic Old Town Alexandria will transform into an art-lover's paradise during the 16th Annual Alexandria King Street Art Festival. Two hundred local and national artists are set to display their works from across the nation in a prestigious show encompassing fine jewelry, exquisite works of art and hand-crafted apparel and decor. During this community festival, art enthusiasts discover spectacular paintings, life-sized sculptures, jewelry, glasswork, photography, ceramics and more. More than $15 million in art will be on display during the two-day, outdoor art gallery event. All artists will be on site for the duration of the festival, allowing visitors to discover the inspiration behind each original piece.

A variety of interactive activities will be offered throughout the weekend, including The Art League’s popular Ice Cream Bowl Fundraiser. Patrons can purchase one of 1,400 handmade bowls created by the talented artists of The Art League’s ceramics department and enjoy a scoop of ice cream, all for only $15 per bowl, with the proceeds benefiting The Art League. Participants in the Ice Cream Bowl Fundraiser may enter a free drawing to win ceramic artwork and an Art League gift certificate.

There is even more art to be found across Union Street at the Torpedo Factory Art Center’s Beer & Wine Torpedo Garden, happening from 11 am-4 pm each day of the festival. Visitors can enjoy a sampling of craft beer and wine while exploring 82 working studios and seven galleries filled with handmade work by more than 165 local artists.

With this popular festival spanning two days, visitors take advantage of luxurious accommodations just steps from King Street and transform their festival experience into a creativity-filled weekend.
